Wow.. that’s really sad. (I wonder what it says about me that reading that transcript nearly made me cry, and I didn’t even play AC2.) It’s hard to lose something you’ve invested so much time and possible emotion in.
This world is shutting down NOW! Log out! seems like an awfully harsh way to say a final farewell to the remnants of your loyal playerbase though. I guess it was probably just the standard shutdown message, but still..
I agree. It would have been nice if they’d programmed in a special message or event for the end of the world. Something grand to suit the finale but I guess the end’s the end.
I don’t play online games but I imagine having something like the world end is rather devestating. That it was ended so matter-of-factly must be a real kick in the teeth.
