Release of Treba theme

And it's another day in 'a theme a day' week which means, of course, another theme. Today's selection is Treba. Once again, it's all about the words and Treba's clean design let's you concentrate on the content; after all content is king. Take a look at the demo site and see what you think.

Treba

Today's note

Today was probably the most difficult day so far. As mentioned, I'm designing and developing the themes as I go along and the limited time constraints really hit me today1.

What made it harder was that that the design I had in my head didn't really work when transferred to digital bits. The colours clashed and the design didn't really balance. I went through several iterations2 before settling on the one that you see now.

Backups

Also, as an aside, I had a bit of a scare last night as shortly my site went down. Fortunately, it came back up but it made me realise that I had no up-to-date backups. Not very wise and now rectified.

So with day 4 out of the way, I can catch a few hours of sleep and hopefully dream about what to do for tomorrow:)

Timestamps

Looks like my server time setting is an hour fast which meant that this post appears to have been posted on Friday morning. I'd go back in and change things but breaking links is bad.

  1. Damn you House! That's another valuable hour gone watching you when I could have been developing:) [back]
  2. If I have time after this, I may upload some of them. The original and interim designs were really quite different from the final result. [back]

Font of 2+ post information is too small… Comments? what?? I had to increase the font 2x before it became readable.

That’s where you customise it to your own liking:)

Thanks Dana (for the kind words and for keeping up with this feature:-))

True enough I suppose. I just wanted to add that I really appreciate what you are doing. Not only is it making my blogging at bloggingpro.com easier, but these are really beautiful themes, and with some minor work, they could be some of the best that WordPress has ever seen. I find myself cursing your abilities every day you release a new one…

Beautiful work Phu. Reason enough to come back every day.

Well done Phu. I have immense respect for you for doing the “Theme a day”, it takes a lot oout of you to do a single theme wether simple or complex and finding enough inspiration/change is much harder thn it looks I know.

Keep up the good work :)

You have definitely done it again Phu. It has become like an obsession for me to stay up every night waiting for your theme release ;)

I’m enjoying these, too! Awesome work! Clean, simple… and while they might not be exactly what I’d want in every detail, I don’t think I’ve ever just used a theme “as is” without tweaking it. But it sure is nice to have the basics looking so good! :)

Really beautiful, beautiful work. Thank you so much for making this available - I’ve used another one of your themes on another blog.

Question though - for some reason, I’m losing some posts and not others - check here:

    http://www.dailydramatica.com/2005/10/28/character-arc-is-not-all-about-change/

If you view the source all the text is there, but for some reason is breaking under this theme.

Hopefully someone can help, if not - thanks for the great art!

    Nevermind, I figured it out.

Thanks again for some great themes!

This is a gorgeous theme, Phu. Thanks for putting it up. I’m switching my blog over to it right away!

I dig the theme as well, Phu, but I have a question about modifying the text color for hyperlinks throughout the theme. I am not very tech savy and tried adding a color tag inside the href “”> code on individual pages but found that I was modifying the color of the wrong text. If i continue to modify text color like this will there be any interferance with the CSS code for the overall theme?

    Hi there,
do i got any chances to get the treba theme multi-lingual? customizing my own is ok, but multi-lingual is the cleanest way, so ?

    Thanks
