Video game endings
In case you want to relive classic endings, GameRevolution have an archive of the final moments from videogames.
Aerial imagery pranks
Immature? Probably. Worth a chuckle? Probably. Someone writes Fuck in a field, which is conveniently picked up by Google Maps.

Frontpage exits stage left
Microsoft will close the book on its FrontPage Web-design program with the release of Office 2007, formerly known as Office 12, late this year.
Noooooo… how are people going to design websites now?
Unitless line-heights
Old news which is new to me. The css property line-height can accept unitless number values which act as a scaling factor for descendents to inherit.
Monkey remake
There's a high profile remake of Monkey, the Chinese myth following Monkey's journey to India for Buddhist scriptures. The news is that an undisclosed British TV company has secured the rights to the new 11-episode remake and will broadcast the show later this year. The question now, of course, is will it be dubbed or subbed.
The colour red is trademarked
Looks like Coca Cola will be in trouble. Royal Mail have trademarked the colour red. This is hot on the trail of the trademarking of the colour blue.
"Royal Mail, the Royal Mail Cruciform, the colour red and SmartStamp are all registered trademarks of Royal Mail Group plc."
Well, at least I'm safe… oh heck, I'll live dangerously. [via]
Yahoo Design Pattern/UI Library
Yahoo have released their Design Pattern and User Interface libraries. As well as an accompanying blog, Eric Miraglia has some behind the scenes info on the release. [via].
The Yahoo! User Interface Library is a set of utilities and controls, written in JavaScript, for building richly interactive web applications using techniques such as DOM scripting, HTML and AJAX.
Sam and Max webcomic

Steve Purcell's crime fighting duo Sam and Max are back in a webcomic which goes hand in hand with last years announcement of the production of Sam and Max 2. I'm probably not alone in having a soft spot for Sam and Max but even if you're new to the wacky duo, you can't help but fall in love with the wonderful illustration style.
Oh, and be sure to mouseover the images so that you can view the dialogue
IE7 CSS compatibility
The MSDN page on IE7's CSS compatibility should provide some useful information for those interested in getting prepared for IE7. There's also an IE7 page on the ever useful CSS-discuss wiki.
Also, don't forget that IE7 beta 2 has been publically available for a week now. Whilst it's not a "standalone installation", you can revert back to the previous version when you uninstall. Personally, I'm more inclined to work in the other direction and install multiple standalone copies of IE.
SimpleTicket
SimpleTicket is an open source trouble ticket support system developed with Ruby on Rails. Looks impressive; definitely worth considering if you're on the market for a ticketing solution.
